Distilled by Tio Rey, this ensemble en barre is a blend of 67% Espadin agave and 33% Tepezete agave. It is bottled at a generous 48.5% ABV. Let's see how it is.
Almond, cashew, honey. Light clay, some faint pepper. Light banana. A little restrained on the nose.
Honey, light confectioners sugar. Light brine. Some faint earth. That fun cashew note is back. Pepper.
Medium in length. Loads of minerality, smoke, clay and earth. Dry and peppery. The fruit and sweetness is gone.
Interesting but not for me I don’t think. The finish is a bit dry, and earthy.
