Distilled using Clay Pot in Santa Catarina Minas, this expression using Agave Largo (similar to Tobaziche) comes to us from Real Minero. Let's get to it. Batch RML-11 from 2019.
Wow - powerful and complex on the nose. Lots going on here. Meaty, savory, loaded with clay. Salt and vinegar chips, acidic, lightly lactic. Faint sweetness, behind that savory curtain.
Straightforward and inviting on the palate. Sweet cream, rich clay and earthiness. Faint ash smoke and beef. Vinegar note is there. Hint of guava on the back palate. Rich and complex, savory but not too pungent.
Long finish, grows ashier and more chemical forward. Strong minerality, garlic, beef and pepper. It hangs for quite some time, and the smoke is well placed.
This is a really great expression from Minero. The complexity is impressive.
