This is an older release from Marca Negra, back when they went with the name Mano Negra, prior to rebranding. This is produced from Agave Tobala by Jorge Mendez Ramirez in San Luis Del Rio. This is batch 09-2011 and is bottle 156/750 - lets dive in.
Sweet cotton candy, cream and sweetness. Pineapple, mango, light pepper. Light clay and a faint meatiness.
Medium mouth feel but sweet and really enticing. Sweet cream, vanilla, pepper and faint latex. Pepper - more specifically a nice jalapeno note, nice minerality, some ashy smokey. Delightful and complex.
Long, powerful and complex. Theres so much going on here - and all of it good. I love the combination of fruit and sweet candy on the nose paired with excellent finish and complexity.
This is complex and great - it embodies of all the notes I love and few I dont. I could drink this all day which means its about time for a new bottle now that I look at mine. Big fan of this release, might see if there are any more hanging around.
