This is an Arroqueno distilled by Maestro Antonio Cortes Aragon using Arroqueno harvested in 2019. Distilled in Las Salinas Coatecas, Mihuatlan, the agave was fermented in wooden barrels and distilled twice on copper in 2019. Batch MLA-A1903US. Let's get to it. I'm a lover of Arroqueno, so this should be a treat.
Sweet cream cheese frosting, buttered popcorn, red berries, peppercorn. Faint rubber note, lots of rich vanilla, bright and grassy with some faint citrus and cedar.
Thick on the palate. Rich with heather, creamy richness, vanilla bean, papaya, japaleno and a great pepper presence on the back palate - like cracked peppercorn and olive oil. Deliciously complex and rich.
Long, rich and powerful. Perfectly minerality balance between sweet cream, smoldering charcoal, limestone and lemon curd. Grassy and complex.
Incredible arroqueno, in my opinion. This has everything I like and nothing that I don’t, and I’m off to buy a bottle.
