This is an artesenal Mezcal distilled by Pedro Hernandez in the San Baltazar Guelavila village. This is batch 01/19 - let's see how it is.
Sweet, fruity, corn forward. Confectioners sugar, mild clay, some dirty and pepper.
Thin on the palate - not a ton going on, but it's pleasant. Melon, pepper, faint smoke. ABV feels about right.
Short to medium in length - sweet, some charcoal and some burning wood. The smoke isn't agressive, and wisps away cleanly.
Overall I like this - it far exceeded my expectations for a bottling so inexpensive.
