Founded in 2015 before being acquired by Redemption Rye co-founder Dave Schmier earlier this year, Goza Tequila recently partnered with craft spirits retailer Seelbach's for a limited run of single barrel reposados.

Nose:
Rich and roasty on the nose, notes of caramel, honey, straw and hay, a touch of cinnamon and charcoal.

Taste:
Moderate mouthfeel, sweet vanilla bean, hay and fresh straw, pepper and lime zest. Hint of minerality.

Finish:
Moderate finish, sweet again and full of hay, honey, a touch of straw, pepper and clove.

Overall:
This is a pleasant, easy drinking tequila and the short finishing time helps, not hurts, here - adding a dash of spice and complexity.
