  • Excerpt: Sweet, heavy oak nose, pang of ethanol, syrupy sweet agave. Thin mouth feel, not a lot going on. No heat. Agave, light smoke, faint oak, pepper. This is interesting but not exceptional. I don't really pick up much on the barrel influence, and there wasn't a ton going on in the first place.

  • Excerpt: Dried fruits, golden apple, vanilla, and dark caramel combined with cinnamon and nutmeg further enhance the liquid pie quality. This is a good one to recommend for those who prefer a sweeter, richer style of aƱejo, but it seems to cover up most of the true agave essence.

Raided Score is a conversion from an external site's score, to our in house uniform scoring system. Please see the FAQ for more.

  • Intro:

This is a tequila product that spends 18 months aging in a combination of sauternes and cognac barrels. Really interesting concept.

  • Nose:

Sweet, heavy oak nose, pang of ethanol, syrupy sweet agave.

  • Taste:

Thin mouth feel, not a lot going on. No heat. Agave, light smoke, faint oak, pepper.

  • Finish:

Short, a bit hot, loaded with pepper, faint smoke, some sweet cream and berry and then it's gone.

  • Overall:

This is interesting but not exceptional. I don't really pick up much on the barrel influence, and there wasn't a ton going on in the first place.

  • Score:
