Excerpt: Light mouthfeel, no real heat. Overall, it's not bad. It won't best some of the really crazy Anejo's or extra Anejo's out there, but it's just fine.
Excerpt: The anejo pumps up the ripe fruit character of the reposado, layering in more baking spice notes and lots of vanilla. Hints of coffee on the back end — with lots of cream.

House Review
Intro:
A fairly standard Anejo, this is Codigo 1530 Anejoy, a release from George Strait's tequila brand.
Nose:
Roasty agave, some vanilla. Sweet pear, a bit of cream, and a hint of stone and minerality. Light clay, sweet fruitiness.
Taste:
Oak is present here, but well enough integrated. A bit of cocoa, caramel, roasty vanilla bean and a touch of cinnamon and tannin. Light mouthfeel, no real heat.
Finish:
Medium finish that's dry, a bit on the fruity side. Caramel, vanilla, more roasted agave notes and a touch of oak.
Overall:
Overall, it's not bad. It won't best some of the really crazy Anejo's or extra Anejo's out there, but it's just fine.
