Excerpt: The nose is heavy with agave, but it’s lighter than expected in the palate. Still heavy agave, mind you, but tempered with vanilla and some citrus. After a few sips it goes down pretty easily; the initial heat mellows out and you get a nice mouthful of agave and wood.
Excerpt: A pale straw color, and a smoky, almost mescal-like taste with a lot of heat. The net-net, if you’ve only had Cuervo gold, you’re gonna love this, if you’ve had the good stuff though – this disappoints.
Excerpt: This rather austere, somewhat watery reposado seems to rely entirely on the wood to impart flavor, mostly in the form of spice and sweetness, which completely overshadows its "agave-ness."
Excerpt: Creamy, nutty, toasty aromas and flavors of nougat, chocolate, roasted pineapple, and pecan with a soft, shy, dryish light body and a warming, brisk finish.
