This is a Mezcal distilled from Tepeztate by Honorato Cruz Molina using copper in the village of Santa Ana. Tepeztate has been really hit or miss for me in the past, so I'm looking forward to trying another mezcalero's take on the varietal. Let's dive in.
Sweet cream, cotton candy, snap peas and broccoli, pepper and a faint latex note.
Sweet and creamy, pepper and a plastic note and sweet rising bread. Faintly vegetal, some green bean.
Long, rich and really complex. Lots of smoke, pepper, snap pea, cream cheese frosting and mango.
Wow, this is pretty nice. Excellent balance of smoke and vegetation.
